Palentine's Dinner, Games & Assorted Other Fun

You've heard of Valentine's Day. You may have even heard of Galentine's Day. But have you heard of Palentine's Day??

To be honest, we don't really need an excuse to celebrate friendship and community (two of our favorite things)—but we'll take it!

If you'd like to opt out of the pressure to have plans on 2/14 (i.e. finding one person to spend an overly-hyped, commercially-driven holiday with) and/or like the sound of meeting some new people and make some new friends in a laidback environment, we'd love to hang out!

We're going to order a simple dinner from Mendocino Farms (think something along the lines of sandwiches and deli sides/salads). Feel free to drop in after work, starting at 5:30pm. We'll get some table games going around 6pm for those who want to play.

The vibe for the table games will be "whatever is fun" and definitely more collaborative than competitive. That said, if you also know that games aren't your thing (but like many humans, being around other people is), feel free to just come and hang out. You might opt to bring something else, like a craft you're working on. We'll also have puzzles next door in case people like that idea. Parallel play is encouraged and welcomed!

In addition to RSVPing for the event, please DM us to let us know if:

  1. you're planning on eating with us and

  2. you have any food restrictions/allergies that we can take into account.

Thank you for letting us know and keeping your RSVP up to date, because we want to make sure we have enough food but also not waste any either!

As always, you're welcome to join us beforehand for coworking from 1-5pm and stay straight through!

You can drop us an email to RSVP at hello@wvneighborhoodchurch.org, or if you’re on Meetup, RSVP here.
